Corvette history: First year for the Corvette Big Block with a mighty 396/425 horsepower screamer. This was to be the last year (until 1985) for fuel injection. Surprisingly, the Bid Block 396 engine option was about half as costly as the fuelie option! First year for teak wood steering wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, telescopic steering columns, and factory ordered side exhaust. Tell it from other "mid year" vettes by 3 vertical, open functional side vents (gills). Another quick way to tell 1963 to 1967 Corvettes apart is by their gas cap cover emblems.
