Corvette history: The famous LT1 350/370 engine
made its debut in 1970, and a new big block engine, a 454/390
was offered. The side louvers now had an "eggcrate"
look, and amber front signal lights were offered. It was
also the 1st time in many, many years when black was not
a color option.
